Alejandro touched down in Chicago from Spain on May 24th, and this tall drink of water is slowly finding his rhythm. At first, he stuck to the kitchen like it was his comfort zone—but just recently, he took a big step (literally) and stretched out in the front room for the first time.

He’s been running and playing with his foster siblings, and it’s been amazing to watch his personality start to bloom. Alejandro wants affection so badly—he just hasn’t worked up the courage to ask for it yet. But with each day, he gets a little braver.

This guy walks beautifully on leash, gets along with all his foster siblings, and is learning that life in a home isn’t so scary after all. Not cat-safe—but honestly, who needs cats when you’ve got a sweet, soulful Galgo like this?
